GERT'S YURT

TRY SOMETHING REALLY DIFFERENT!

Come and stay in our traditional Mongolian Yurt, a 5 metre diameter roundhouse of the type still lived in by Mongolian nomads.

With a wooden frame, thick felt for insulation, heavy duty canvas for waterproofing and a decorative outer cover, the yurt stands on a solid wooden platform with a deck area to the front creating a cosy holiday home for 2 people with lots of character.

The Yurt stands in complete privacy in it's own small field with woodland behind, and views out over the Towy valley and farmland, where horses (and sometimes deer) graze. A pathway leads through shady woodland 50 yds to the private parking area.

The interior of the yurt is decorated in traditional mongolian style and has been furnished to provide a comfortable, cosy retreat for 2 people. The SLEEPING/LIVING area is equipped with 2 beds which can be arranged as twins or linked to make a luxurious super king. There is a dining table, sofa and a wood burning stove

Adjacent to the yurt is our Yurtmobile - a purpose built "shepherds wagon" containing   a fully equiped KITCHEN with full size gas cooker, microwave and fridge. a SHOWER ROOM with flushing loo, wash basin and excellent shower.

There is a picnic area with a barbecue brazier. Gas is provided for cooking and hot water. Electricity is supplied to the the "yurtmobile" where there is a spare power point (the yurt has electric lights only - NO ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES/TV) 2 barrows of logs are supplied for the woodburner - more can be purchased. Bedding and bed linen is supplied (please bring your own towels and tea towels) We cannot accommodate pets. Non smokers only please.

The Yurt is available to rent by the week from May to October.
